OVERVIEW
From July 1 to 8, 2023, during the 17th UECT European Cycle Tourism Week, cyclotourists from all over Europe will be welcomed in Plasencia, a city of 41,000 inhabitants (elevation 408 m) located in southwestern Spain, in Extremadura, and in the northern part of the province of Cáceres; The Portuguese border is only 90 km away, and Madrid is 250 km away.

Plasencia is situated on the Ruta de la Plata and along the banks of the Jerte River; it is a city where the medieval past is still very much alive, as evidenced by its city walls and massive towers.
