Staszow 2018 - youth training

Written by

Following the UECT instructor harmonisation training course held in Staszów from 13 to 15 April, I invite you to read the article published in Cyclo Mag FFCT and the following extract

! Poland, the next host country for cycling schools

From 13 to 15 April 2018, a harmonisation training course for UECT cycle tourism instructors was given in Staszów (Poland) by Alina Koson-Clement (UECT Youth Activities Manager) and Jean Marie Maillard (FFCT instructor) with the logistical support of the local managers. 8 cyclists (4 Polish and 4 Ukrainians), 6 of whom were women, took part in this training course, which will provide the best conditions for welcoming and supervising the young cyclists participating in the European Week 2018. A very constructive training and a very positive experience that should lead to the creation in the near future of the first Polish cycling school in Staszów, under the responsibility of Slawomir Migalski, local head of the PTTK cyclo federation in collaboration with the UECT. The FFCT know-how in cycling tourism school is being exported to Europe and we hope that this Polish example will also be reflected in the other UECT members, Portugal is also studying the establishment of a cycling school in 2019, which bodes well for the years to come...

A new federation joins the UECT in 2018

Written by

At the last meeting of the UECT Steering Committee at the end of October 2018, the application for membership of the UECT of the Association For Sport (AFS) of Bosnia-Herzegovina was submitted, the delegates of the UECT member federations gave their agreement in principle for this membership which will be validated at the next General Assembly UECT in March 2019.

The Association For Sport (AFS) of Bosnia - Herzegovina wishes to develop itself in the field of cycling tourism and to become a reference in its country and that is why its leaders wish to acquire this notoriety through the intermediary of the UECT through its know-how in particular in the organization of cycling tourism stays and youth supervision.

The UECT went to the AFS headquarters in Banja Luka to meet with the leaders to present the statutes, its organisations, to study the possibilities of future organisations in Bosnia-Herzegovina and to sign an accession protocol.
