SITUATION

From 11 to 18 July 2026, during the 20th European Week of the UECT, cycle tourists from all over Europe will be welcomed to Heerenveen historic town with a population of 50,000, founded in 1551, located in the province of Friesland, in the north-west of the Netherlands.

The German border is only 96 km away and the North Sea 30 km . >>> SITUATION MAP

The province of Friesland is an agricultural, livestock farming and tourist province with its large lakes and Frisian Wadden Islands. It offers typical Dutch landscapes with its canals, windmills, Saxon farms and numerous picturesque villages.

The climate there is temperate oceanic.

The region of Friesland will surprise every cycle tourist with its diverse landscapes. From the intimate woods of south-east Friesland and vast agricultural lands to the wild coasts of the Wadden Sea and the dykes of Lake Ussel. You will cycle along rolling lakes, bustling harbours and typical nautical villages.

ORGANISATION

The number of participants who can be accommodated in good conditions is set at 1,500. Electronic registrations can be made via the www.uect.org website

In close collaboration with the UECT, the Dutch organisers of the association Fiets4DaagseMeppel, the municipality, the club Sportstad will welcome you at the ‘administrative’ centre located at Sportstad – Postbus 42 – Heerenveen (2 km from the city centre), where the following events will take place:

Selon l'article 5 des statuts :

5.1	Peuvent devenir membres de l'UECT les groupements d'associations ou les fédérations, qui se vouent aux buts définis par les présents statuts qui ont leur siège en Europe.
5.2	Peuvent devenir membres, en priorité, les fédérations se dévouant exclusivement au cyclotourisme.
5.3	Peuvent devenir membres, des fédérations ou des associations mixtes ayant une section cyclotourisme, s'il n'y a pas de fédération de cyclotourisme créée dans leur pays.
5.4	La qualité de membre selon les paragraphes 1, 2 et 3 exige une demande d'adhésion écrite préalable. L'Assemblée Générale décide de cette demande après examen du Comité Directeur.
5.5	La qualité de membre de l'UECT se perd : - Lors de la dissolution juridique de la structure membre. - Par déclaration de retrait à présenter au président; elle ne peut être effective que pour la fin de l'année civile. De plus elle doit parvenir au président au plus tard 30 jours avant l'assemblée générale annuelle. - Par radiation prononcée dans les conditions fixées par le règlement intérieur pour non-paiement des cotisations ou tout motif grave comme le non-respect des buts de l'UECT. La radiation est décidée par l'Assemblée Générale.
