From 5 to 12 July 2025, during the 19th European Week of the UECT, cycle tourists from all over Europe will be welcomed in Prayssac (France) a town of 2,460 inhabitants located 25 km west of Cahors  >> SITE MAP

Prayssac (107 metres above sea level) is situated on the banks of the River Lot, in one of its magnificent meanders, covering 2,400 hectares in the centre of the CAHORS vineyards, a wine with a prestigious past and spearhead of the région's economy.
In a few words, the Lot Valley, a region in the heart of the Quercy region, rich in discoveries of all kinds, where heritage, bastides, traditions and modernity complement each other in a region that combines cycling with gastronomy and wine with character.

 

The climate is oceanic, with temperate summers and average summer temperatures of around 20°C to 27°C in July.    Weather forecast Prayssac.

The number of participants who can be accommodated in good conditions is set at 1,700. Electronic registrations can be made via the www.uect.org website

In close collaboration with the UECT, the organisers: CODEP FFCT du Lot - Club cyclotouristes de Prayssac and the municipality of Prayssac, will welcome you, for the withdrawal of the files, from Friday 4 July 2025 14 h 00 - 19 h 00 to Saturday 5 July 2025 from 9 h 00 - 19 h 00 at the ‘administrative’ centre located at the Complexe Sportif  – 9 rue René Lafargue – 46220 Prayssac - GPS coordinates S 44°30'24.86°N – 1°11'23.06°E, where the following events will take place:Home  :

  • reception
  • the UECT clothing shop
  • the permanence

PLASENCIA (Spain) - from 1st to 8th July 2023

From 1st to 8th July 2023, during the 17th European Week of the UECT, cycle tourists from all over Europe will be welcomed in Plasencia, a town of 41,000 inhabitants (altitude 408 m) located in the south-west of Spain, in Extremadura, and in the north of the province of Cáceres. The Portuguese border is only 90 km away and Madrid 250 km.

The autonomous community of Extremadura is steeped in history, with monumental and artistic remains, some of which date back to Roman times

Plasencia is located on the Ruta de la Plata and the banks of the river Jerte, it is a city with a medieval past still present with its walls and big towers.
The pedestrian streets of the historic city centre, lined with palaces and stately homes, will allow you to visit the Parador de Plasencia, the Plaza Mayor and the two cathedrals : the Vieja and the Nueva..

The climate is continental with hot summers and average summer temperatures of about 26°.

In close collaboration with the UECT, the Spanish organisers of the FECT Cyclotourism Federation and the Municipality of Plasencia will welcome you at the "administrative" centre which will be located in the El Berrocal building in Miguel de Unamuno Street, (located 1 km from the city centre) where the following events will take place :

fleche the federal UECT campsite in 2 separate areas for motorhomes/caravans and tents :
-  the motorhome/caravan site with 225 pitches is planned on the outskirts of the El Berrocal building (semi-grassy ground on a grassy slab and asphalt)
-  the tented camping site with 54 pitches is planned on the outskirts of the El Berrocal building (grassy ground and clay).

The El Berrocal Exhibition Centre will also be the starting/finishing point for the various road circuits, with 50-80-120 km each day in a mountainous region with a difference in altitude accessible to all trained cyclists. The circuits will be at altitudes of between 350 m and 600 m, and the gear ratios will be adapted to each person's ambitions. The route will be online on our website in mid-March 2023.

For accompanying persons, the program of visits will focus exclusively on tourist sites, accompanied by French and English guides.
